Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description:
Friendly Arctic Printing & Design is a fast-paced screen printing and graphic design company located in East Nashville. We specialize in creating high quality screen-printed products using eco-friendly water-based inks. We are looking for a detail-oriented, efficient, and self-motivated individual to join our production team.
Friendly Arctic is committed to delivering flawless products that meet our clients' exact specifications. As such, the role of the Quality Assurance Technician is a critical one. The primary function of this role is to ensure exceptional quality and accuracy in every printed garment order by meticulously inspecting, packing, and preparing products for delivery, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and providing outstanding customer service.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Sizing, sorting, counting, and packing printed garments.
- Staging orders for pickup or delivery according to order requirements. Ensuring clients receive orders in good condition by packing according to company standards.
- Assisting customers with order pick-ups & ensuring accuracy of Airtable pickup records.
- Provide quality assurance by inspecting finished goods:
- Comparing printed garment counts to sales invoices to ensure order accuracy. Alerting sales/management when discrepancies occur.
- Comparing finished goods with order mockups to ensure correct design, color(s), and print placement.
- Checking the quality of the print, looking for blemishes, appropriate coverage, ink opacity, dye migration, crooked prints, etc.
- Checking garments for damage (tears, burns, holes).
- Assisting with print production by…
- Staging in-process prints for secondary print locations.
- Monitoring the dryer for proper performance, checking for proper temperature and back-ups/blockages of garments.
- Finishing goods (heat pressing, bagging, tagging, applying hangtags, stickers, etc.)
- Fixing small imperfections in individual garments (spraying out stains, touching up misprints or pinholes, sewing seams, removing loose threads, reinserting hoodies strings, etc.)
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the end of belt area, including the tables, floor, shelves, dryer, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Compensation: Starting at $16-$17/hr dependent upon experience, paid weekly.
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-time (40hrs/wk)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM with opportunities for overtime pay on busier production weeks.
